Emmanuel Apokis – Managing Partner

Emmanuel is the Managing Partner of the firm, with 20 years of experience in Criminal and Family Law, having attained Specialist Accreditation in the former. Having successfully represented hundreds of clients over the years, Emmanuel’s extensive knowledge of the law and application of practice and procedure enables him to oversee the firm’s family law and criminal law departments, ensuring the provision of a high standard of service to clients.

Claudia Taylor – Senior Associate

Claudia has more than 20 years of experience as a family lawyer and has for her entire career focused solely on Family Law. So much so, Claudia has attained Specialist Accreditation in Family Law, Master of Applied Law in Family Law, Graduate Diploma in Family Dispute Resolution and is an Accredited Family Law Arbitrator and Mediator. Claudia is also collaboratively trained, and therefore, has a strong focus on helping clients settle their matters, without the need for expensive, drawn-out Family Court proceedings.

Elizabeth Apokis – Senior Associate

Elizabeth has been a solicitor for more than 15 years, having serviced the Sutherland Shire throughout that time. Elizabeth heads the Sutherland Probate, Wills and Estates Department. Drawing on her years of experience, Elizabeth continues to assist clients with estate planning, such as drafting complex wills and powers of attorney, and at the other end of the spectrum, assists executors with the complexities involved in obtaining Probate and administering deceased estates.

Michael Duong – Senior Solicitor

Michael was admitted as a solicitor in 2001 and is an experienced Criminal and Family Lawyer who also has many years’ experience in property law, assisting clients in conveyancing matters, such as buying or selling property. Michael is well liked by clients, and is known for his ability to obtain great outcomes by drawing on his knowledge, experience and tactical approach to his matters.

The above solicitors, and all other solicitors in our team are available for face-to-face consultation at our Sutherland office, which is easy to get to.  Otherwise, we are happy to conduct telephone conferences or, as preferred by some, video conferences via Microsoft Teams.  Our aim is to remain accessible to the Sutherland Shire community. 

Attending our office is easy, with plenty of free street parking, although parking times vary between 1, 2 and 4 hours, so take note of the posted signs.  If travelling by public transport, we are located a short walk east from Sutherland train station.
